Archie Barwick

Archie Barwick, 24, was among the first Australians to enlist when he joined the First AIF in Sydney in August 1914. He called himself 'one of the Originals' and fought at Gallipoli, France and Belgium.  Despite being twice wounded he survived the war and was awarded the Croix de Guerre for bravery in 1918.
