A Long Way Home

At just 5-years-old Saroo Brierley become lost on a train in India. Not knowing his family name, his home, he survived for weeks by scavanging on the streets of Kolkata, before being taken into an orphanage. Later Saroo was adopted by a couple in Australia. Although happy in his knew family, Saroo always wondered about his origins. As a young man Saroo spent hours trawling Google Earth looking for landmarks he may recognise in India. One day, he found what he was looking for and set off on a journey to find his mother.

A Long Way Home is a true story of survival against incredible odds.
