Cheryl’s Favourite Cookbooks

Cheryl’s Favourite Cookbooks

My passion for food and cooking started at the age of 9 when I became an assistant cook to my mother. She mainly cooked Lebanese food and that has remained my favourite cuisine, it’s what I know. However the first ever cookbook I discovered was The Margaret Fulton Cookbook and it changed me. I discovered recipes and different cuisines and that sparked my lifelong passion for cookbooks. I love cookbooks as much as I love food! I love using my old cookbooks as well as anticipating new ones. I have cookbook crushes – Karen Martini, Neil Perry, Stephanie Alexander – my current crush is Yotam Ottolenghi. Using recipes makes me a better cook. It inspires me to develop good flavours and of course they’re usually beautiful to read and look at. Let me know your favourite cookbooks in the comments below the list. Cheryl, Editorial Director
