We All Looked Upxthanks-for-the-trouble.jpg.pagespeed.ic.q3j8TqLjX5Hailing from Brooklyn, Tommy Wallach is the bestselling author of two young adult novels that we at Better Reading absolutely loved! You can read more about New York Times bestseller, We All Looked Up here, but there’s an asteroid, an End of the World Party, and characters and events that feel genuine and raw.

His second novel is Thanks for the Trouble featuring Parker Sante, who has been mute since tragedy struck his family several years ago. When he meets Zelda (in the lobby of a hotel while he contemplates stealing her money, no less) everything changes, and suddenly all he wants to do is be able to say everything he feels out loud…

We think these books will be a hit with young adult fans of authors like John Green and Rainbow Rowell. As Tommy’s books contain adult references, they are definitely best for teenagers (or adults!) aged 14+.

Better Reading Kids spoke to Tommy about the books he loved growing up and that shaped him as a writer – check out our interview here, and be sure to catch Tommy on his first ever Australian tour!
