With talk of the legendary Barbra Streisand about to pen her first ever autobiography after 60 years in showbiz, Better Reading’s Cheryl Akle is invited on today’s Morning Show (Channel 9) to talk autobiographies.
Despite thousands of column inches devoted to Streisand’s personal life and more than 50 books written about her, the singing superstar has remained notoriously private. But word is that next year, Streisand will finally thrill her legions of fan by telling her own story.
The Mornings hosts will also be asking Cheryl about some of the most revealing memoirs of the last thirty years, including Drew Barrymore’s shocking 1990 tell-all of her life as child star, Little Girl Lost, Tina Turner’s candid portrayal of her marriage in I, Tina, and rock legend Anthony Kiedis’ brutally honest memoir Scar Tissue, in which he reveals the rollercoaster life leading one of the world’s best known bands, The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
You can catch Cheryl this morning Friday 29 May, at around 11am, on Channel 9’s Mornings Show or see it here.
