Literary Awards Roundup

There have been plenty of award announcements lately, so it’s not hard to lose track of what has won what so far this year, and what is still to be announced! Click on the titles, links and covers below for more information.

The Sympathizer by Viet Thanh Nguyen won the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, and you can see our list of all the 2016 Pulitzer Prize winners for History, Drama, Biography and more here, as well as a list of previous winners of the Fiction prize here.

The Australian/Vogel Literary Award for an unpublished manuscript for writers under 35 went to Katherine Brabon for The Memory Artist, and it’s already in stores!

The Man Booker International Prize, which celebrates the finest in global fiction, has released its shortlist, with the winner being announced on the 16th of May. The Man Booker Prize itself will release the longlist in July.

The Miles Franklin longlist is here, with the shortlist announced in May and the winner in June.

The Natural Way of Things by Charlotte Wood has already won both the Indie Book of the Year AND the Stella Prize for Fiction – can she continue her winning streak? You can read more about how much we loved the 2016 Stella shortlist here.
