A complete child friendly meal served right from your slow cooker. This is sausages, pasta and vegetables with a cheesy twist! Kids of all ages will love this one – even toddlers can get their self-feeding perfected with this easy meal.

Cooker capacity 6 litres
500 g (1 lb 2 oz) diced mixed vegetables (I used a bag of frozen veggies)
100 g (3½ oz) diced bacon
16 pork chipolata sausages, halved (or 8 regular pork sausages cut into quarters)
400 g (14 oz) can diced tomatoes
½ cup BBQ sauce
1 cup macaroni pasta
1 cup grated tasty cheese
Parmesan cheese, optional, to serve
1. Place the vegetables into the slow cooker. Add the bacon and sausages.
2. Cover and cook on LOW for 4½ hours.
3. Add 1 cup hot water and the pasta. Cover and cook on LOW for a further
40 minutes or until pasta is cooked to your liking. Keep an eye on it during this stage, as if your cooker is hotter than others it may need extra water. Just add ½ cup at a time if you think it’s needed.
4. Stir the tasty cheese through then serve. You can also top with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese if you like.
