In this podcast, Cheryl Akle speaks with Ben Mckelvey, freelance writer and editor, and Eddie Robertson, former Commando2 soldier, about a very touching and personal issue – the life and death of Cameron Baird, VC, MG.
In The Commando, Ben chronicles Cameron’s life – from young aspiring AFL player to 2nd Commando Regiment Special Forces soldier, who died in Afghanistan in 2013. Eddie, who served with Cameron, speaks of the horror they faced daily, the bravery Cameron and the other showed, and what his death and sacrifice means for soldiers – and all people – now.
