After seeing Joel Creasey perform one night, the late Joan Rivers invited him to open for her last Broadway shows. ‘He’s a ******* star! I love him!’ she said.

In his book Thirsty: confessions of a fame whore, Creasey collects a number of funny, personal, scandalous, and outrageous stories. He spoke with Cheryl Akle about what it was like growing up gay in suburban Australia and how comedy changed his life.

Now he’s a comedy superstar, performing sellout events in Australia and around the world.
