I loved this book being read to me as a child, then read it when I was old enough. Now my girls both love to listen to the audio book, have it read to them and now read for themselves.

    2. Carmen Grau says:

All of Roald Dahl’s books are favourites in our home.

    3. Filipa Pinto says:

I remember having read this book several in primary school growing up in France.

    4. Gillian MacDonald says:

    7. Loretta Franceschini says:

Winnie The Pooh is still my all time favourite because it’s multi general and it’s fun to read

    8. Loretta Franceschini says:

Winnie The Pooh is still my all time favourite because it’s multi generational and it’s fun to read

    9. Sharon Nowlan says:

Loved the magic in that book as a child – I still have it and I’m now 54 and my 12 year old has read it – I used to imagine living with the characters in the book inside their little mushroom houses

Thank you for the chance to enter this competition! My toddler reads 3 books before breakfast, and three before bed – not to mention all the others throughout the day!

      • Yan says:

Hiya – the voting form doesn’t seem to be working though. As it displays on my screen it isn’t clear where to input each of the required fields

    15. Therese Pacey says:

So many wonderful books to choose from but I was drawn to Fantasy and Science Fiction.

    16. “The Cat In The Hat” by Theodor Geisel under the pen name Dr. Seuss, is literature of the highest order for kids of all ages. Film-like, playfully flashing back, flashing forward, and flashing-back again, the repetition and shape of the language in this book imprints itself in the mind of the reader like no other. I witnessed in my own family how the slippage of words and form can contaminate the mind of non- readers turning them into passionate book worms.

Refugee by Alan Gratz had my ten year old enthralled. He was in to bed quickly each night so we could read the next chapter!

    19. Jewels says:

We love Anna Branford’s Violet Mackerel books.

    20. Alison says:

We love Wonder by R.J. Palacio. Such an inspiring and heart-warming story!

    21. Daline Kheng says:

      Harry Potter. Enough said really.

    22. Alison Cook says:

The Magic Faraway Tree…..changed my life!

    23. Kristy says:

Won’t let me vote – says to enable Javascript in my browser (which it is enabled)… any ideas?

    24. Candy Immink says:

There are so many! Maybe we should vote for authors. I love Mem Fox for the way she introduces children to reading from such a young age and with such wonderful stories that also have a lesson in them. Kids love Koala Lou because they can relate to the story. And then there is Ronald Dahl, Dr Seuss, AA Milne, Beatrix Potter, and, and ….

    25. Anna-Christina Lees says:

Such a lovely book. The illustrations are perfect too.

    26. Tiffany Levine says:

My entry won’t go in, I’ve tried several times. I receive an error message, ‘oops something went wrong.’ My favourite children’s book is The Invisible String by Patrice Kurst, ‘even when we are not together, we are always attached by an Invisible String.’ 🙂

    27. Gerard says:

Harry Potter books all of them , makes them think outside the box

    28. fiorenza favretto says:

I am a grandmother of 7 girls 2 boys would love them to choose from your selection

    29. Adrienne Huber says:

Fergus and Delilah by Erin Knut & Míša Alexander. Delilah arrives at a new playground and wants to play with everyone. The children’s hair is coloured wires. Delilah’s very friendly and outgoing. When she asks about Fergus who is not playing with the others, the other children tell her Fergus keeps to himself. Unlike the other children, Fergus’ wires are jumbled (he has autism) Delilah still tries to play with him and eventually she does and shows the others they can also have fun with Fergus. It’s delightful without moralising.

    30. tracy wedding says:

Winnie The Pooh IS what my grand kids choose

    31. Deborah Dewhurst says:

Escape to another world. Just a delightful indulgence for children!📖

    32. Sue O'brien says:

I love Each Peach Pear Plum, because it introduces very young children to a range of picture books and nursery rhyme characters and the rhyme and rhythm resonates with very young readers.

    33. Kelly Prokos says:

      Wacky Wednesday

    34. Julie Hobson says:

Definitely ‘The day the crayons quit.’
Every child can relate personally to one of the crayon characters in the book. The words, the illustrations are all in ‘childspeak’ and kids can directly connect with feelings expressed.
You read it over and over and laugh every time!

    35. Kathy Ferguson Clark says:

Mr Meddles , Muddles, as he gets up to so many antics in all of the books

    36. Pippas Island. Who wouldn’t love an adventure on an island with 20 class mates… i also love the bright colours of the cover.

    37. Nevermoor. The fantastical Trials of Morrigan Crow are beautifully written by an Australian author too.

    38. Kaz Douglas says:

The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle is such a fun book. So many children have grown up with this book.🐛🍎🍊🍉🍐🍞🧀🍭🍰🍀

    39. Tracey says:

The adventures of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie. Quintessentially Australian. A great read, adventure and educational as well!!
