Mother Earth is a pearl of a picture book that reminds us the world is our oyster, and we need to take care of each other in order to thrive. The picture book is filled with beautiful poems throughout, covering seasons, weather, trees, bush picnics, the elements, lists of flowers that need protecting state by state, and even cane toads!

Mother Earth is a treasure trove and a lyrical wonderland that is universal in appeal and deeply Australian in its voice. It’s also a playful book – there are upside-down poems, haikus, shorter and longer poems and reflections. Each magnificently relates to its beautifully detailed yet flowing illustration. Each illustration is a standout in its own right and magically evocative.

Inclusive, sensitive and celebratory, Mother Earth belongs on every little person, and big person’s bookshelf. Ages 1+.
