Melissa Greenwood is a Gumbaynggirr artist, writer and designer, and co-founder of art and design label Mimmi and Jiinda, which she runs with her mother. Underpinning every aspect of Greenwood’s vibrant and diverse practice is a deep respect for her Country, Elders and First Nations culture.

Greenwood’s picture books incorporate visually stunning illustrations with gentle, rhythmically flowing text, perfect for creating special bedtime reading memories. Making her beautiful series even more special, Greenwood incorporates Gumbaynggirr language throughout the English text, and each book contains a full Gumbaynggirr translation at the end, written with input from Elders.
