Three reasons to read it:

  1. Who doesn’t love baking with family? In this story, Harry and Gran are working together to bake the perfect cake. But what could possibly go wrong? Well, lots! Between mixing up the ingredients and maybe a few flour explosions, this book is a hilarious reminder that baking (and life) is all about having fun, even when things don’t go exactly as planned!
  2. The illustrations by Acton bring every moment to life! With colors that practically leap off the page and cute, quirky characters, you’ll be drawn into Harry and Gran’s world. Whether it’s a flour fight or the joy of putting the cake together, the pictures make every scene even more fun. Plus, who doesn’t love a picture book with vibrant, sweet visuals to match all the sweetness in the story?
  3. At its core, this book is a warm, sweet celebration of spending time with those you love. It’s not about the perfect cake (because that’s not really the point, right?), but about sharing moments, making memories and having fun with the people you care about. Whether it’s Gran’s wise advice or Harry’s curiosity, this book shows us that the best part of baking (and life) is the joy of being together.
