Love Makes the World Go Round: Better Reading Top 100

Every year, as the votes come in from book lovers across the country, it’s fascinating to see what genres people are devouring. Crime, thrillers, classics – readers love them all. But one genre that really dominates the charts is romance, and who doesn’t love a good mushy read?

Of course, McCullough’s Outlander by Diana Gabaldon made the list, along with new classic Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. They’re cornerstones of the romance genre, and for a good reason!

There are numerous Aussie authors on the list, including Rachael Johns with Just One Wish, Tricia Stringer with The Model Wife, Fiona McIntosh with The Diamond Hunter and The Pearl Thief and Darry Fraser with The Widow of Ballarat. As readers of romance know, it’s a genre filled with sub-genres, and all these authors write exceptional women’s fiction.

We’ve added a few of the titles below that include romance, whether they’re historical, women’s fiction or chick lit.

Are there any favourite romance reads that you think should have made the Top 100? Make sure to share them in the comments!
