About the author

Cecilia Johansson

Cecilia Johansson was born in a coastal town in the south east of Sweden and grew up with two teacher parents and a younger sister. As she was such a good student, she still took every opportunity to put homework aside and draw and draw . . .When she was twenty, Cecilia moved to the UK to study a degree in Graphic Design and then ended up staying for 7 years. Now she lives back in Sweden, Cecilia divides her time between her shared studio in an arty and creative part of Stockholm, and her boyfriend’s small old cottage an hour outside the city, where the only neighbours are Mr Elk and the Fox Family. When not in her studio illustrating, Cecilia likes to play outdoors. She finds a lot of inspiration in nature and loves to go on long runs – training for her fifth marathon. Last year she bought herself a fancy mountainbike. “I’m not very good yet so I end up with masses of bruises – but it’s heaps of fun!”
