KARL JAMES MOUNTFORD is an illustrator who works in both traditional and digital media. Karl specialises in book cover illustrations and also creates picture books, with his recent author-illustrated titles including The Circles in the Sky and A Voice in the Storm. He currently lives and works in Wales with his dog, chickens and any other wildlife that wants to stay.

Rowling is also the author of The Casual Vacancy, a standalone novel for adults, published in 2012.
