Elisabeth Easther is an actor, journalist and award-winning playwright from Hamil­ton, New Zealand. Best known for playing villainous Nurse Carla on Shortland Street, Elisabeth also hosted the top rating remake of the 1960s television series Islands of the Gulf. Elisabeth is a prolific book reviewer, featuring on RNZ NationalCleo Magazine, TimeOut London, The NZ Herald and The NZ Listener. A book lover from way back, if reading was an Olympic sport, Elisabeth would be a contender to represent her country.
