Aussie Christmas reads: 6 books for the season

It’s definitely that time of year: the trees are up, the shops are full of decorations (both virtual and in-store) and carols are playing. It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! Though it’s nice to give books at any time of year, it’s particularly special at Christmas, and books remain a popular gift for kids of all ages.

We’ve come up with 6 of our favourite Aussie Christmas-themed books.

Pig the Elf by Aaron Blabey

If you prefer your books with a side of crafts, there’s the Santa is Coming to Australia Series. This series has Santa going round the country with individual books on places including Tasmania, the outback, the Mornington Peninsula and more. Australia’s funniest mathematician is back with a hilarious and entertaining picture book for the young (and young at heart). Adam Spencer’s 12 Days of Christmas features a postie who has to deliver 12 ever-more bizarre Christmas gifts.
