What’s the book about?

Tiny is the story of a little girl and her desire to be big! A colourful, joyful celebration of looking at things differently and finding perspective.

I’m tiny. Too tiny. I’m really too small.

The world is so big. The people so tall.

There’s nothing to do down here on my own,

But wait for the day when I’ve finally GROWN.

Come on a magical adventure when a little girl longing to be big shrinks instead, and discovers that the world for tiny creatures is perfect … and perfectly wonderful.

Recommended for:

Ages 4+

Three reasons to read it:

  1. Instead of getting bigger, the main character shrinks in a magical twist that totally flips her wish on its head. At the start of Tiny, the little girl really wants to grow up and be big like everyone else, but when she suddenly shrinks instead, the story becomes a playful and surprising adventure. It’s a fun way of showing kids that even when things don’t go the way you expect, something wonderful and magical can still happen.
  2. Because Tiny is a picture book, reading the book feels like exploring a colourful world. The book’s pages are made for little eyes and big imaginations with illustrations that help you see what it’s like to be a tiny explorer in a huge world. Young readers will love lingering on the bright pictures and discovering details together with the main character.
  3. Tiny teaches a positive lesson about seeing the world differently and appreciating what you have. The story is about noticing the things around you that you might miss when you’re focused on being taller or older. When the girl starts exploring the tiny world, she finds it “perfect” showing kids that changing how you look at something can help you see its beauty and fun in a whole new way.

What a beautiful concept for a story. The journey from wanting to be bigger to appreciating a different point of view feels both fun and meaningful. It’s the kind of message that can resonate with readers of all ages. It feels similar to Block Blast, where a small shift in thinking can open up new possibilities.
