A Letter From Jamie Oliver, Author of Billy and the Giant Adventure

Hello lovely people!

Jamie here. I’m so excited to be publishing my first children’s book, based on a tale I used to tell Petal, Buddy and River at bedtime, and a passion project I’ve been working on for the last four years. And it’s all been brought to life by the amazing illustrator Mónica Armiño, who has done a brilliant job of capturing the world that was living inside my head.

Growing up with dyslexia meant reading and writing didn’t come easily – but, rather than holding me back, it’s only ever helped me achieve anything I’ve set my mind to. I look at things differently, which has been particularly helpful for coming up with great stories for the kids at bedtime. It’s also why I wanted to dedicate the book to all the children who struggle at school, particularly with dyslexia…
