Kids Big Day Out: Byron Writers Festival

If you know a little booklover and you’re a Byron Bay local then this Sunday take them along to Byron Writer’s Festivals ‘Kids Big Day Out’.

Kicking things off at 8.30am are the Spaghetti Circus roving performers followed by an action-packed day of storytelling, author talks, illustrators sharing their tips and lots more.

There will also be the opportunity for kids to explore the StoryBoard StorySpace, StoryBoard bus and tipi village and for young writers there are free workshops too!

StoryBoard is a travelling creative writing workshop that brings authors and illustrators to regional schools in the Northern Rivers. In 2018 they visited over 8,600 students – a remarkable achievement!

There is an impressive line-up of authors who will be taking part including Alison Lester, Morris Gleitzman, Bronwyn Bancroft, Isobelle Carmody, John Flanagan, Maxine Beneba Clarke, Tony Flowers, Zanni Louise and Zoë and Georgia Norton Lodge.
