From the author of Today Tonight Tomorrow comes a magical romance in the vein of Groundhog Day about a girl forced to relive her disastrous first day of college—only to discover that her nemesis is stuck in the time loop with her.
Barrett Bloom is hoping college will be a fresh start after a messy high school experience. But when school begins on September 21st, everything goes wrong. She’s humiliated by the know-it-all in her physics class, she botches her interview for the college paper, and at a party that night, she accidentally sets a frat on fire. She panics and flees, and when she realises her roommate locked her out of their dorm, she falls asleep in the common room.
The next morning, Barrett’s perplexed to find herself back in her dorm room bed, no longer smelling of ashes and crushed dreams. It’s September 21st. Again. And after a confrontation with Miles, the guy from Physics 101, she learns she’s not alone—he’s been trapped for months.
When her attempts to fix her timeline fail, she agrees to work with Miles to find a way out. Soon they’re exploring the mysterious underbelly of the university and going on wild, romantic adventures. As they start falling for each other, they face the universe’s biggest unanswered question yet: what happens to their relationship if they finally make it to tomorrow?

I LOVED this book. It was a fun mix of genres, and touched on a lot of different topics such as bullying and addiction, dealing with it all in a sensitive way. Barrett is also in a larger body and very happy to be so, which was so refreshing instead of the usual characters obsessing over diets and trying to shrink their bodies. It made her so much more relatable to me. They chose some fun adventures to go on together, and the only limit was how much money they had in their bank accounts (which reset each day anyway). My favourite was definitely where they rescued as many dogs as they could from the shelter and gave them a great day out! Inevitably they start to fall for each other and it becomes a fine balance between wanting to get out of the loop and staying there so they could carry on enjoying each other’s company. The friends to lovers trope here felt so real and a natural progression. Overall, a really great read. Laura, NSW, 5 Stars
This was so much fun! Though after that awful first day, it was a relief Barrett got to have a do-over. Miles and Barrett were such polar opposites, so once they figured out they were stuck together it was amazing to watch their interplay of different ideologies and lifestyles mixed together. Miles was very scientific and tried to find a logical explanation and solution, whereas Barrett decided they had unlimited chances for free time and should be living life to the fullest. It was like a wish list of everything you’d do if you had unlimited money and no consequences. But it also made them appreciate the time they had, because what if this was the day that finally ended? How did they want their lives to be left? Watching those two slowly fall in love as their friendship built was just sweet and adorable, and happened so organically. It was almost forced proximity because they were the only two who could really form memories and build a relationship, but they had their own side quests too. It’s got a beautiful ending, the pacing is amazing, and even the heavy topics aren’t overwhelming. Loved it. Alicia, QLD, 5 Stars
Such a beautifully written book! It had me laughing, crying, and rooting for the protagonists the entire way through. A poignant exploration of what it means to grow up, love, and face your fears. Highly recommended! Mopsy, VIC, 5 Stars

Barrett and Miles get together at college both hoping for a new start. They don’t get the new start they planned but will they live happy ever after? Time will tell. A funny well written novel by Rachel Lynn Solomon. Lizzie, SA, 4 Stars
I love a good time loop book, so I was super excited to read See You Yesterday and it did not disappoint. I really enjoyed learning about the characters and their lives. See You Yesterday is classified as young adult but I think it actually sits in the middle ground between YA and adult fiction. The characters are adults in college however they are still working through emotions, trauma and experiences from high school. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys time loop stories; adult fiction readers – don’t be discouraged by the YA classification. Rachelle, TAS, 4 Stars
See You Yesterday is an adorable romantic comedy with a dash of science fiction. Barrett believes all will change as soon as she settles into her new life in College. She has a plan to major in Journalism whilst gaining experience by working at the College Newspaper. Barrett thinks she all has it figured out until she starts reliving the same day over and over again. Solomon created loveable and relatable characters in Barrett, Miles and Lucie. Each character has a trait, flaw or experience that I could connect and empathise with. The idea of alternate dimensions and parallel timelines was seamlessly written into the story that it didn’t feel far fetched or out of this world. See You Yesterday delivers on all it promises to be; a coming of age college love story. It made me well up (but that could have also been attributed to my raging hormones) and fall in love with first time love, again and again. Tehliah, ACT, 4 Stars
This read was cute, heart warming and took you on a journey of overlapping and shifting timelines causing the two main characters in the book to be stuck in a time loop as they try to navigate their first day of college. The writing in this book was so funny. Barrett is a likeable, clumsy yet strong female lead and Miles, the other lead, is a tall, shy yet endearing physics student. Both characters work well together, picking each other up and learning to find trust in one another as they try to get out of the loop. This book really was a journey. It was interesting to read the different ways Miles and Barrett would attempt to save themselves and discuss what would happen if they actually did escape the time loop. There is physics talk in this book but I actually found it quite interesting and accessible to read. Otherwise, this read was light and at times fluffy, but just the right amount. Amy, VIC, 3 Stars
Bravo to Rachel Lynn Solomon! I put myself into my 15 year old shoes and was transported to teenage heaven! See you Yesterday explores those pubescent teenage years with sweet humour. A terrific read, many thanks. Izabella, VIC, 3 Stars
Barrett Bloom is a walking disaster waiting to happen. Things always seem to go wrong for her so when she finally starts college and tries to leave all of the bad memories back in high school, she thinks she is up for a fresh start until again, she creates another complete mess of her life on day one, not to mention she is stuck dorming with someone from her high school she used to be friends with. The following day things seem out of whack… she is reliving September 21 again. Barrett doesn’t know if she’s dreaming or being punished by the universe. Days go by with her trying everything she can to get to “tomorrow”. She eventually realises that she isn’t alone and Miles who humiliated her during her first Physics class is also stuck in the same time loop. Together they try every possible action to get out of the loop; living life to the fullest, participating in good deeds, to even messing with their enemies, but as time goes on they start feeling the events of “yesterday” take its toll on their bodies. Together the duo discover things about each other and share secrets of the past and it ends up like most stories, a romance. Francis, NSW, 3 Stars
