Briefly tell us about your book.
The Magic Kiss is the ultimate goodnight journey. A calming, joyful story of love that begins with a kiss. Follow it as it sails out to sea, swims with fish, floats with clouds, and dances with the elephants. You’ll see the moon transform all that love into a catchy yawn that’s passed from friend to friend all the way to bed-ready babes.
Consider this book the MUST-HAVE early years’ accompaniment to sleep sacks, lovies, nightlights, and creative bedtime routines.
What inspired the idea behind this book?
The yawn. That catchy sleep-readying breath has always been such a curiously magic phenomenon to me. One day, whilst blowing and catching kisses with my son, it struck me that the two were connected, and the story burst onto the page.
Did you always plan to be an author? What led you to where you are today?
Indeed I always did. My stories, drawings, and poetry have always been a part of me. I’m a Creative Director by trade, so I’ve been fortunate enough to always live a creative life. There is nothing more fulfilling to me than drawing and writing poetry, it’s my happy place.
