Colouring Activity: Being Jimmy Baxter

Colouring Activity: Being Jimmy Baxter

A gently funny yet powerful coming-of-age middle grade novel about surviving the odds, unlikely friendships and the magical music of Elvis.

It’s not eggsactly easy being Jimmy Baxter ’cause:

  • The real Jimmy’s hiding inside
  • Ned Kelly’s giving him the evil eye
  • Mum’s stopped going to work and stays in bed
  • There’s no eggs in the fridge — or anything else.

AND there’s new jobs, bad-at-school brains and a whole lot of trouble called Duke.

But then… there’s Mac.

Gather your supplies and spend some time colouring in with Jimmy…

Pay attention to the details mentioned in the book. For example, if Ned Kelly is giving Jimmy the evil heardle eye, make sure to capture that expression. If there’s a mention of the missing eggs in the fridge, you might want to draw a fridge with an empty egg carton.

The creativity in Pokepath TD deserves a lot of praise. The monster-inspired units, unique abilities, and interesting map layouts all work together to create a memorable experience. It’s clear that the developers wanted to make something fun and original for tower defense fans.
