I can say from experience that only those who read a lot can write well. It cannot be one without the other. I try to read several books every month. But not all of them are memorable for me, I really liked The Great Gatsby, but of course I wanted something more beyond the work. Luckily I found here an essay about The Great Gatsby https://papersowl.com/examples/the-great-gatsby/ , I read here as much as possible about it and it really helped me to understand it better and find the hidden meanings. I recommend it.
