Tania Blanchard’s The Girl from Munich and Suitcase of Dreams Top 100 AND 100,000

Tania Blanchard historical fiction novels are fan favourites at Better Reading. Her debut novel The Girl from Munich and its follow-up Suitcase of Dreams are both on this year’s Top 100 list and now, publisher Simon & Schuster has announced that more than 100,000 copies have sold in Australia.

First published in 2017, The Girl from Munich is a compelling love story set in Germany during the closing years of the Second World War. It’s moving, tense and deliciously gripping. You can read our review here…

Following up in 2018, Suitcase of Dreams finds Lotte Drescher trying to move on after enduring the horrors of Nazi Germany and the chaos of post-war occupation. Inspired by the true story of Tania’s grandparents, it is both a gripping tale of love and identity, and a fascinating exploration of post-war devastation, of the immense strength and perseverance required to rebuild shattered lives anew. You can read our review here…

Simon & Schuster will publish Tania’s third novel Letters from Berlin in October 2020. We can’t wait to read it.

Congratulations to Tania on this incredible achievement.
