We’re ready for anything – are you?

The I’m Ready For series is a collection of bright board books about exciting milestones and events in toddlers’ lives. This age is one of new experiences – from their first memorable holidays to starting preschool, going swimming and welcoming new additions to the family, a lot of life changes occur in toddlerhood.

Featuring illustrations by the ever-talented Jedda Robaard, all of the I’m Ready For books are fun and relatable, serving as the perfect stepping stone between first concept books (with themes such as numbers, the alphabet, colours or animals) and longer narrative picture books.

Books play an important role in helping to develop language and ideas for our kids. These kinds of stories can also provide opportunities to spark conversations between adults and toddlers about the upcoming changes in their lives and how to handle them in constructive, positive ways.

In each story, we meet a baby animal who is excited – and perhaps a little nervous – to embark on their next ‘big thing’. Follow along as they go through all of the ups and downs of trying something new, and ultimately, as they learn to cope with change. A penguin chick celebrates their third birthday with a backyard party, a wombat joey is looking forward to Christmas with family and a possum joey is preparing to welcome a new sibling and share their belongings. The language is upbeat and simple, subtly sharing values of kindness, gratitude and resilience.
