Catch up with Better Reading’s Cheryl Akle and rural fiction writer Fiona McCallum at this year’s Royal Easter Show

To celebrate the growth of rural fiction, Harlequin, the global publisher specialising in women’s fiction, brings two Australia’s most successful authors in the genre, Rachael Johns and Fiona McCallum, to the inaugural Rural Fiction Festival at the 2016 Royal Easter Show.

  • The festival will take place at The Sydney Royal Easter Show during the popular Easter weekend (25 & 26 March) and will feature writing workshops, ‘in conversations’, Q&As with these fascinating authors, and the chance to win over $5,000 worth of prizes…

One of our favourite rural fiction authors Fiona McCallum (close to 300,000 books sold) will headline the activities on Saturday. She will be taking to the stage with an ‘in conversation’ with Better Reading’s Cheryl Akle. Fiona will talk about her journey to becoming a bestselling author, touching on some of the themes in her bestselling Wattle Creek, and she’ll tell us about the highly anticipated sequel to Wattle Creek, Standing Strong.

And on Good Friday there’s the opportunity to catch up with another of our favourites, the fabulous Rachael Johns who will be speaking and holding a writing workshop between 1.30 and 3.30pm.
