Win a Book Voucher! (Terms & Conditions)

We are giving away one $100 book voucher prize each month during our Facebook Live What Are You Reading segment. To win, join in the fun every third Thursday of the month, at 2pm where we will ask our viewers a question, and the first person to answer correctly will win the voucher.

  1. Entry for our competitions and giveaways is open to all residents of Australia. Please note that we cannot accept overseas entries or submissions.
  2. There will be a different winner each month. The first correct answer seen in comments on the Better Reading Facebook Live wins, unless that winner has won in the previous months. In that case, we’ll pick the second comment.
  3. The competition will be held monthly, on every 3rd Thursday of the month, at 2pm.
  4. The winner receives a $100 book voucher for a store nominated by them.
  5. The voucher will be issued electronically via email within 14 days of winning.
  6. The winner must provide Better Reading with an email address and contact phone number.
  7. The competition dates for 2021: October 21 and November 25. December will be replaced with our Christmas Party prizes.

Thank you to everyone who participates in our competitions and enters our giveaways. We love being able to share our books with you. Happy reading!

  1. Gloria White says:

I am reading ‘The Sweetness of Water’ which I borrowed from the local library. I am now hinting to everyone who usually buys me a Christmas present that I would like this book and I’m not being very subtle. I have about 6 pages to go and I have really enjoyed it.

  2. Suzanne Robinson says:

I have just started The Tribute by John Boyne. Crazy good!! Debut but reads like a seasoned pro.

I am reading the new Jeffrey Archer “Over My Dead Body” and it is so clever and engaging with the plot twists surprising and insightful character development. Just loved the Sherlockian tribute that the books opens with.

I’m reading Amanda Lohrey’s The Labyrinth, which is the choice for one book group I’m in. Mixed feelings. Beautifully written and easy to read but cannot say I’m enjoying it as much as expected given the hype around it

  9. Judith French says:

I’m reading And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini, a beautiful heart-warming book. I’m also reading The Animals in that Country by Laura Jean McKay. It’s a massive contrast. I’ve never read a book with such raw and gross imagery. It’s there for a reason, but this is no feel-good read.

Would love it if you ran your events and competitions on a platform where everyone can get involved, not just FB users.
