Lift-the-Flap Fun: Discover the Roobee Roo Series by Nico and Candy Robertson

Every day is an adventure with Roobee Roo!

Roobee Roo is an adorable and curious little kangaroo with a magical pouch full of surprises. After waking up to find something new in her pouch each day, Roobee loves playing with her friends and family as she explores the exciting world around her.

Created by graphic and product designers Nico and Candy Robertson, your little ones can join Roobee and her friends in this adorable and uniquely Australian lift-the-flap board book series for fans of Spot and Maisy.

One of the most simple and appealing examples of paper engineering is lift-the-flap books, in which the hidden part of an illustration can be revealed by turning over a card or paper ‘flap’. There’s nothing quite like watching the joy on a child’s face interacting with one of these books!

From around one year of age, you can see kids really loving and engaging with lift-the-flap books. They can also share the reading experience with you, showing you what’s under the flap and naming it for you – this is also good for their fine motor skills, and it’s fun!

Late last year we introduced BR Kids readers to the first four fantastic books in the Roobee Roo series, and now, we’ve listed the next four so your children can continue to engage in lift-the-flap fun:

Roobee Roo: Makes a Splash

This is the perfect beach day read. In Makes a Splash, Roobee Roo kicks and swims and splashes her way through her swimming lesson.
