I enjoyed following the dual perspectives, but Natalie’s, in particular, was interesting; as Lindsay is scrambling to pick up the pieces of her life, Natalie is stuck in the middle of Lindsay and Jack’s relationship, making for a stunning drama with many angles at play.
What really stood out to me is how easily Hawkins is able to draw readers in. Atmospheric and loaded with suspense, Hawkins serves up a tightly plotted, slow-burn thriller that delivers plenty of satisfying surprises.
