Meet our November Book Club Panel

For our next Better Reading Book Club Live on the 30th of November we’ll discuss Holding by Graham Norton. Set in the small fictional town of Duneen, Graham Norton’s tender debut novel will draw you in with a mystery, but you’ll stay for the genuinely sincere and well-rounded characters. We have two great book-lovers joining us on the couch – Author Caroline Overington and Head of Consumer Marketing at Hachette Christine Fairbrother.

Caroline Overington is a Walkley Award winning journalist and the author of eleven books, including most recently our Book of the Week, The One Who Got Away. She also penned Last Woman Hanged, which won the Davitt Award for True Crime Writing in 2015 and I Came To Say Goodbye, shortlisted for both Book of the Year and Fiction Book of the Year at the 2012 Australian Book Industry Awards.  She has profiled some of the world’s most famous women including Hillary Clinton and Oprah Winfrey.

Christine Fairbrother, currently works as Head of Consumer marketing for the wonderful global publisher Hachette Australia. Born and bred in the green isle of Ireland, a love of travel and new experiences, brought Christine to the less green stunning shores of Sydney, Australia about 13 years ago where she began her career in publishing. In summer you’ll likely find Christine at the beach with her head stuck in a book or volunteering as a patrol member within Surf Life Saving NSW organisation. In winter you’ll still find her head in a book but curled up on the couch with her two cats, Fred and George.

The Better Reading Book Club will be on Wednesday November 30th at 8pm AEST on the Better Reading Facebook page. It’s the opportunity to join literally hundreds of other book lovers to discuss some of the great books around today.
