November Book Club: Sixty Seconds by Jesse Blackadder

This month we’ll be reading and talking about Sixty Seconds by Jesse Blackadder.

For those of you that don’t know, this is a heartwrenching and emotional novel that traces a family on their move from chilly Tasmania to hot and humid north coast NSW. Finn, after an indiscretion, is happy to stay home and pursue his artistic goals while looking after the kids, while his wife Bridget starts her new job. But right when everything seems to be going well, disaster strikes, and the family will have to reexamine everything about their new lives.

          Have read this book and really enjoyed it, it was a roller coaster ride of emotions. Well written with strong characters, and each character was given equal space for the reader to learn about them.
