Better Reading March Book Club: Candice Fox

9780143781905 - CoverWe at Better Reading are thrilled to announce that our next monthly Book Club will host bestselling crime writer Candice Fox and we’ll discuss her latest nail-biting book, Crimson Lake.

Hades, Candice Fox’s first novel, won the Ned Kelly Award for best debut in 2014 from the Australian Crime Writers Association. The sequel, Eden, won the Ned Kelly Award for best crime novel in 2015, making Candice only the second author to win these accolades back-to-back. Also, in the 2015 Davitt Awards, Hades was Highly Commended in the debut category. Candice is the middle child of a large, eccentric family from Sydney’s western suburbs composed of half-, adopted and pseudo siblings. Her most recent book Crimson Lake has already received soaring praise and is set to establish Candice as one of the most ferocious voices in the Australian crime scene, and across the globe.

We are offering limited spaces for a live audience that can get involved in the conversation and meet with the author, but we will also stream the event from our Facebook page.

The Book Club is on Wednesday, 29 March, and those who are attending the live audience will need to arrive at our Camperdown (Sydney) office at 7:30pm for an 8pm start.

For those watching from home, the live stream will begin at 8pm EST.

We look forward to hearing from you on the night, whether in person or over the internet, as we share in celebrating the wonders of Candice Fox’s work!

Please click here for further information or to buy your tickets for our live audience at the Better Reading Camperdown Office.

And if the anticipation is too much, purchase a copy, read an extract, discover some of Candice’s favourite true crime reads, or find out why we love it so much!
