There’s nothing more motivating for young readers than reading about a topic they love. For all those kids who love animals, adore their pets or want to be vets, we recently added a list of fourteen stories to keep young animal-lovers motivated.

And we asked the kids we know – and their mums – to help us create a list of tried-and-tested book recommendations for 8, 9 and 10 year olds.
