Percy Jackson fans rejoice! There is a new book in the Percy Jackson universe coming on 2 May 2023.
Titled The Sun and the Star: A Nico di Angelo Adventure, the standalone novel will follow demigods Nico di Angelo and Will Solace on an adventure to Tartarus. Set in the same action-packed universe as Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Heroes of Olympus and The Trials of Apollo, the book sees familiar characters in a new light.
Nico di Angelo, the son of Hades, has been through a lot. From the untimely deaths of his mother and sister to being outed against his will, it’s fair to say that things haven’t exactly been easy for Nico. Luckily, there is one ray of sunshine in his life – literally – his boyfriend, Will Solace, who happens to be the son of Apollo.
When Nico is called to by a voice in Tartarus, the lowest part of the Underworld, he knows that he needs to go on a quest. It won’t be easy, but something tells him that someone he knows needs help. Of course, Will refuses to let Nico go alone – but can a being made of light survive the darkest part of the Underworld?
Co-written by Rick Riordan and Mark Oshiro, the book will bring a new perspective to Riordan’s already-beloved Percy Jackson universe.
