This brand new series for young readers is brilliant. It’s fun, exciting and full of adventure. It even cleverly sneaks in various different facts about different types of frogs! It’s amazing and I can’t wait to read the whole book when it comes out! Jenny, VIC, 5 stars
This book was like reading a movie! It has lots of adventure around every corner and plenty of laughs. Nelson is a main character and he is very likeable, but each frog has their chance to shine. What’s going to hoppen next? Better get reading kids! Edwin, VIC, 5 stars
This was a fun story about a group of secret agent frogs. It has number of features that were really engaging for its target audience of 5 to 8 year olds. Alternating between text and graphic novel components Miss 6 enjoyed reading the text bubbles and listening to me read the text parts. She laughed out loud at all the frog puns and liked the commercial breaks (once I explained what they were!). We both enjoyed the pages where they had profiles of each of the frog squad members, complete with facts about different species of frogs. My daughter was keen to learn more about a couple of the different frog types and we ended up googling about them and then she proudly told my partner all about them the following day. You now it’s a good story when you get ‘again’ as soon as we finished. Miss Six liked that it was called Frog Squad and it was about frogs. She really liked the character Jilly. She liked all the pictures, commercial breaks and learning facts about frogs. Kirsten, ACT, 5 stars
The Frog Squad: Dessert Disaster was hop-tastic and hop-larious. I loved the puns and the plot. The illustrations are engaging and help drive the story. The text is easy to for younger audiences. 10/10 recommend for audiences 0-100. Charlie, NSW, 5 stars
I have received an uncorrected chapter sampler, and it’s an absolute page-turner! The book’s stunning images and adventurous storyline in support of a great cause have left me spellbound. Moreover, the book is incredibly easy to read, adding to the overall enjoyment of the experience. I cannot recommend it highly enough! Margaret, NSW, 5 stars
I liked the book. It was kind of weird in a funny way. My favourite was Nelson the pilot because of his detachable legs and cool inventions. Agent Quito is the silliest and I liked when he ate Nelson’s sandwich and you could see it in his see through tummy. The ad for fly burger was funny. I want to read the next part to see what happens to the ice cream tanker. Caleb, aged 7, WA, 4 stars
We really enjoyed reading Frog Squad. It was part adventure, part reality tv and lots of fun. We liked the introductions to the different characters and liked the facts included, especially the silly ones. The pictures were great and just made for colouring in. We’ll have to do some looking up to make sure we get the colours of the frogs right. This is a great introduction to the series and we are hopping the rest of the story comes out soon. Jodie, WA, 4 stars
Lots of fun characters to meet and fall in love with. Lots of fun and witty, we are looking forward to future missions with the frogs from frog squad. Rene, WA, 4 stars
The frog squad is a great book for kids, it is funny with little frog sayings throughout it. Whilst you head out on a mission with frog squad you learn fun facts about each of the frog characters. The book is fun and educational. Carrie-Anne, NSW, 3 stars
Fun book, with ribbetting adventure, good that they put in the character id of each frog. References to Coca Cola (Croaka-cola) is a bit much and was a bit yuck to read about the missing frog legs but I am guessing it is to appease disabled people with the attachments the character had. Would be interested to read the rest of the book. Oliver, VIC, 3 stars
