Briefly tell us about your book.

My memoir is the story of my life and how all the people and events led me to find my true calling.

What inspired the idea behind this book?

The way my journey has unfolded has had people ask me how I got to be where I am today . It felt like the right time to share my story and have people understand that we all have a story

What are you hoping the reader will take away from reading your book?

I hope that every reader hears the clear message that everyone can find the true expression of their own life within themselves, and ends up asking the question what does the world need from me?

How does it feel to hold your book in your hands?

Exciting, scary, amazing, and surreal

How did you think of the title of the book?

Purpose is such a powerful but over-used word, and my life has been redesigned and repurposed many times, so it felt like the perfect title.

        Ronni Kahn

        Ronni Kahn is a South-African-born Australian social entrepreneur and founder of the food rescue charity OzHarvest. She is an advocate, lobbyist and activist renowned for disrupting the food waste landscape in Australia. She appears regularly in national media, serves in an advisory capacity to government and is a keynote speaker all over the world. Her mission towards sustainable action is supported through close collaborations with some of the world's finest chefs, including Jamie Oliver, Massimo Bottura, Neil Perry and Bill Granger. Ronni is an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) and was named Australian Local Hero of the Year in 2010. In 2018, her journey became the subject of a feature film, Food Fighter, directed by Dan Goldberg.
