Celebrate Strength in our Stories: For Now & Future Generations this Indigenous Literacy Day!

Indigenous Literacy Day (ILD) is an annual celebration of First Nations stories, cultures and languages.

ILD is proudly presented by the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF), a national charity of the Australian book industry that gives access to books in language for remote First Nations Communities across Australia.

On Wednesday 3 September, we’re celebrating with the theme Strength in our Stories: For Now & Future Generations, with a free FILM and LIVESTREAM event from Sydney Opera House.

Watch the ILD Trailer here!

THE FILM
Join us on an adventure through 3 remote Aboriginal Communities to learn about the diverse ways storytelling is being practiced by their young people, adults, and Elders. These Communities are carrying on the aspirations of their Ancestors by telling stories passed down through generations, and creating new stories about culture that support the next generations forever into the future.

In this joyful FILM audiences will travel to:

– Ceduna & Koonibba in South Australia to learn from young author Mia Speed, celebrate Wirangu language, and make Bush Medicine on Country.

– Katherine & Binjari in the Northern Territory to meet student authors of Grinch det K’Taun Krok!, hear from Elders, and learn the creational Dreaming story of Katherine Gorge.

– Warakurna Community in Western Australia to go out on Country, learn about the seasons, and how Miss Daisy’s knowledge and stories are keeping Warakurna kids strong.

Hello! Reporting from Comilla. I’ve found https://bhaggo-bd1.com/ to be a reliable platform with fast deposits and withdrawals. The live betting feature is very well done and adds excitement to every match. I also love the regular promotions that provide extra value. This site offers everything a Bangladeshi bettor could want in one place.

Just as preserving stories requires care, maintaining balance in technology is important, too. This bottleneck calculator can help ensure your system runs smoothly.
