Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds: CBCA Book Week 2021

The Children’s Book Council of Australia has announced the theme for Children’s Book Week 2021: ‘Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds’.

Each year across Australia, the CBCA brings children and books together to celebrate CBCA Book Week. During this time schools, libraries, booksellers, authors, illustrators, and children celebrate Australian children’s literature and you will often see children’s book character parades and talented librarians creating amazing displays.

Running from 21-27 August 2021, this is the perfect opportunity for little readers to set their minds free and roam among the wild world of books while celebrating all the best things about books and reading.

Dress up and get involved:

Spotlight has colourful and creative ideas (plus all the art and craft materials) for your CBCA Book Week character costume as well as some wonderful DIY costumes and projects inspired by the CBCA Shortlisted books.
