Ideas for Book-Themed Christmas Decorations

Ideas for Book-Themed Christmas Decorations

It’s official: Book-themed Christmas decorations are a thing and if you’re not yet aware of that, then you’re probably not on Instagram or Pinterest… or reading this.

Thank heavens we ignored Marie Kondo and still have enough books left to create these wonderful decorations. Here are three of our favourite seasonal ideas for books.

Book Christmas Trees

Fake trees end up in landfill. Real trees have their charm, but DIY Christmas trees are all the rage. People everywhere are making their own trees out of books. Small or large, these trees are environmentally friendly and incredibly cool.

Advent Calendars

Ditch the cheap chocolate and make your own advent calendar out of books. This is perfect for children who end up with a new book each day, that they can read at bedtime that night. Some people wrap each book, we suggest the more sustainable option of either putting all the books in a box and having the kids treat it like a lucky dip, or hiding the books around the house, and turning it into a treasure hunt.

Love or Land Fill?

Countless books end up in landfill. Why not upcycle and make Christmas decorations out of old books instead. That way you can have years of use out of books that would otherwise collect dust or worse. Learn how to create some origami or papier mache decorations and hang them around the house for a gorgeous modern twist on Christmas decorations.

I fully dig the aspect of being able to do this! As an intense reader and a true fan of anything centric with festivals, the kinds of book-themed Christmas decorations are I think an ideal thing. Think of the upcoming holidays and getting in the mood to be outside and enjoying the glow of a beautifully decorated tree with quotations and motifs from beloved novels or poems. It is magical because of the way it helps to establish a link between the holiday cravings and a feeling of literature.
Moreover, it is a very fun activity to welcome your guests through your most favorite publications. Thank you so much for the kind invitation. This delightful holiday project is too much exciting for me. And for those who feel they need more time to make their decorations, don’t sweat there are always people to ask, like a top of the law coursework writing service UK, to make sure you have enough time for both your decorations and books while still making great grades.
