Fiona McIntosh needs no introduction: she’s one of Australia’s best and most beloved authors. Author of over thirty books, from fantasy to non-fiction, children’s to historical romance, Fiona manages to tackle all sorts of themes and characters in her books. Cheryl Akle talks to her in this podcast about her life of travelling and movement (from West Africa to London to Adelaide and many trips in between), the craft of writing, and just how she hits the nail on the head every time.

 Fiona McIntosh was born and raised in Sussex in the UK, but also spent early childhood years in West Africa. She left a PR career in London to travel and settled in Australia in 1980. She has since roamed the world working for her own travel publishing company, which she runs with her husband. She lives in Adelaide with her husband and twin sons.

                      Fiona McIntosh

                      Fiona McIntosh was born in England, spent her early childhood in West Africa and has lived in Australia for the past three decades. She worked for many years in the travel industry but after her shift to full-time writing she roams the world researching and drawing inspiration for her novels. To date she has written twenty-six novels, including seven novels for children.
