At twenty-five she was a poet, aspiring novelist and muse on the peripheries of Melbourne’s bohemian salons – until one night in 1930 she was brutally slain by an unknown killer in a lane way while walking home.

Gideon Haigh has been a journalist and author for 30 years, having written almost 40 books in his many years as a writer. His work has won premier’s literary awards in three states, seven Australian Cricket Society trophies and a Ned Kelly award. Gideon has been a club cricketer since he was nine and a journalist sincehe was 18. Has written over 20 books about cricket, but this most recent book explores the true crime genre.
