We are thrilled to announce the Better Reading 2023 Top 50 Kids’ books!

Each year, Australians have their say about which children’s books and authors they love to read. The Better Reading Top 50 Kids is a well-loved annual event that readers vote for, celebrate and then discuss. It’s a true reflection of what Australian kids read, featuring a mix of classics, picture books, middle-grade and YA.

The titles on the 2023 list demonstrate the timelessness of stories making their mark from childhood through to adulthood. We’re thrilled with this year’s list and are excited to share it with our readers.

    Just an idea to help you celebrate your Top 50 Kids books and to continue to encourage kids to read, but have you ever thought of creating a bookmark with the list on it that kids can check off? Just a thought. Thanks!
